It was my great pleasure to assist the members of the USMA staff in hosting the Sacred Centurian Leadership Course in August, 2025.
The program integrated experts in military leadership with a cohort of Dominican priests. Priests receive little formal education in leadership but have heavy leadership responsibilities throughout their careers. The goal of the course was to arm these priests with leadership practices that will improve their ability to serve in their future ministries.
I taught vision casting and planning. Working with the priests to develop commander's intent and identity statements aimed at addressing their individual challenges was satisfying, and the follow-on engagements with them have been very enjoyable.
